"Ang bawat halimbawa ng dulang mababasa niyo sa librong ito ay munting pagsulyap lamang sa maraming paraan ng pagsusulat ng dula. Sa ganang amin, ang bawat dulang matagumpay ay hindi maaaring kakitaan ng pormula sa pagsusulat. Dahil ang bawat dula ay may katangi-tanging pormulang ginagamit. Sapagkat bagaman taglay ng lahat ng dula ang mga elementong unibersal sa sining tulad ng Karakter, Balangkas, Kuwento, Aksyon, Diyalogo at iba pa, napatunayan ang bisa ng dula ayon sa imahinasyon ng mandudula-kung paano niya gamitin ang mge elementong ito..."- Mula sa Panimula

Ang "10x10x10" ang kauna-unahang aklat ng mga dula sa ganitong uri na inilathala sa Pilipinas. Karaniwang ang mga dula ay nasa 45-minuto o sa habang dalawang oras o higit pa. Ang "10- minute" plays ay bahagi ng eksperimento ng mga mandudula ng The Writers Bloc: isang pagtugon sa mabilis na buhay ng urbanidad, isang paghamon sa kamalayan ng MTV Generation. Yet “Plaridel” never lost sight of his mission to instill a sense of solidarity into the merging Filipino nation.

The playwright weaves into his historical plot the lives that run parallel with Plaridel’s in a magical non-linear narrative—of parents talking to their unborn children; of old heroes debating with their own forgotten selves; of youths practice-dancing with danger; of traitors and their monuments; of the collective consciousness that results from seeing three priests garroted in public; and of how a dead Plaridel, exhumed from a borrowed grave, is finally able to come home.
