Japanese and English lyrics to Aerith's theme. Along with some other information.
There was a poll in Japan, that had asked which theme, out of all the themes in the Final Fantasy series, they wanted to be vocalized. And they chose Aerith's theme. Her remastered theme appears on the Final Fantasy X (...um, why?) soundtrack, Suteki Da Ne, performed by RIKKI. It was also composed by THE Final Fantasy composer, Nobuo Uematsu!

English
Straight on this long, continuing road
There is surely something to believe in
Like a traveler in the midst of the wind
I have my eye on the northern sky
The passionate feelings
That were beginning to vanish
Once again sway
In radiance in my chest
I don't want the tears to spill
As so not to lose to my weaker self
In eyes holding only an unadorned spirit
There are great
Unseen wings
I open my arms while singing
To embrace the perpetuity of time
To be tied to life
Straight on this long, continuing road
There is surely something to believe in
I think the lyrics to Aerith's theme are very meaningful to her character and personality. Like a traveler in the midst of the wind, I have my eye on the northern sky depicts her travels on the Planet, and also Maiden Who Travels the Planet. In radiance in my chest refers to her cheerful brightness. I don't want the tears to spill. As so not to lose to my weaker self reflects on her personality; she tried very hard to supress her emotions and hide the fact she felt really lonely. Unseen wings of course, depicts her angelic demeanor.
More speculations of Aerith's theme would be that it can be heard in Eyes on Me. During the scene of Squall and Rinoa on the Ragnarok, in the very beginning, there is a high pitch that sounds similar to that of Aerith's theme. Her theme is also a bit similar to Selphie's theme.
