Kingdom Hearts was released on September 17, 2002. This is Square and Disney's first project together.
Kingdom Hearts does not necessarily revolve around Cloud and Aerith, however there is a significance in the game involving them. The story is about Sora, and his allies who help him, Donald and Goofy.
But for the most part, this section isn't going to be about KH in general, it's the storylines involving Cloud and Aerith. As you will notice, the background information is different in Kingdom Hearts than in Final Fantasy VII.
22 years old
A mysterious warrior that wields an impressive sword. He has many walls built around his heart and because he keeps others at and emotional distance, no one knows how he came to be or where he came from.
A fighter hired by Hades to compete in the Coliseum. Despite his association with Hades, his heart remains untouched by the Heartless. Cloud keeps very much to himself. Which makes him something of an enigma. What is he seeking?
This 23-year-old also attempts to solve the mystery of the Heartless and the key. Although she may possess a child like innocence, Aerith is a brave and determined young woman. Having lost her world to the Heartless, she tried to help Sora as best she can. Aerith will be familiar to gamers who have played Final Fantasy VII.
She lost her home to the Heartless at a very young age. Beneath her gentle disposition lies a strong will and a firm sense of duty. Many are naturally drawn to her. Aerith works with Leon and Yuffie to learn more about the Heartless and the "key".
To find Cloud, you must go to the Olympus Coliseum, and fight five battles before you fight Cloud. It doesn't matter whether you win or lose to him (believe me, I had a problem with attacking my cloudiepoo) you will end up fighting Cerberus (to make it easy, keep jumping whenever he uses his strongest attack that attacks you wherever you are on the ground) and after that you can talk to Cloud before you go to another world. And eventually, you will return to the Olympus Coliseum and fight him a few more times.
In the first Kingdom Hearts, actress and singer Mandy Moore talks for Aerith, and actor Steve Burton talks for Cloud. Steve Burton is from the soap opera General Hospital, in which his character there reminds me very much of Cloud's. For more info on that, click here. The most amazing Japanese singer, Maaya Sakamoto also talks for Aerith in the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts, as well in Advent Children, Kingdom Hearts II and Crisis Core.
The second installment in the Kingdom Hearts series, taking place after the original Kingdom Hearts game, and a year before the sequel. This game is available on the Game Boy Advance, as well as the Playstation 2.
Cloud and Aerith both return in this game, as Sora is searching for his lost memories. Cloud has returned to the Olympus Coliseum to make a deal with Hades; he must kill Hercules in order to obtain his lost memories. He loses the fight and does not wish to join Sora, but instead searches for his lost memories.
Soon.
